The Good News

Have you ever thought about your origin, your purpose and your destiny? Where did you come from? Does your existence only begin from the moment you came into this world? Does your life purpose revolve around your personal fulfilment, your family, your career, and your happiness? Where are you going after your life here on earth end?

If you find it difficult to honestly answer these questions, investigate the Bible. The Bible holds the key to the truth of your origin, purpose and destiny.

Your True Origin

The Bible says that God is the creator of everything. He is the supreme ruler of all things, seen and unseen. He is the author of the universe and all that is in it. He is the creator of life and all human beings. It is God who created you. The Bible also says that you were ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’. Before you existed, God knew you already. You are God’s unique masterpiece and He made you in His image and after His likeness.

Your True Purpose

You are made by God and for God .. and until you understand that, life will never make sense. Without God, life has no purpose, and without purpose, life has no meaning. Your purpose in life can only be discovered through a relationship with Jesus Christ. Knowing God and living for God’s glory is the greatest achievement we can accomplish with our lives. He designed you in such a way that unless you fulfill that purpose, you will have no real sense of accomplishment and fulfilment in life.

Your True Destiny

God’s destiny for you is to have an abundant life on earth and an eternal relationship with Him forever, yes even after your life on earth is over. You will dwell with God in heaven till eternity where there will be no sin and no repercussions of sin. In heaven, there will be no pain, sorrow, sickness and death.

What Went Wrong?

When God made us, He gave each one the freedom of choice, that is, ‘the right to choose’. Unfortunately, men chose to disobey God and sinned against Him. The Bible says ‘For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God’ (Romans 3:23) and the ‘wages of sin is death’ (Romans 6:23)

We all are certain that death is inevitable. It is a fact of life. People contract cancer or heart disease that is diagnosed as terminal. But the unrealized truth is ‘life is also a terminal disease’. No one stays in this world permanently. One day death will confront all of us.

How We Are Made Right

God cannot overlook our sins because He is a holy and righteous God. Our sins must be punished and dealt with. Even as God is righteous, He is also a loving and merciful God. He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to come into this world as a human being so that He can die for our sins.

The Bible says: ‘This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins’. (1 John 4:10)

Jesus Christ had paid the penalty for our sins. In the eyes of God, the sins of humanity had been dealt with once and for all at the cross. There is now reconciliation and peace between God and us, through Jesus Christ.

We now have direct access to God through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. We can now have a relationship with God and fulfill his purpose for us by obeying His commands.

The Bible promises us an abundant life in Jesus Christ. Jesus said: ‘I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly’. A life that is aligned to God’s purpose for us is truly an abundant life.

Receive The Gift Of Salvation

The Bible says ‘the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus…’ (Romans 6:23). As in all gifts, the intended recipient must accept it. So, it is with the gift of salvation. The Bible says ‘If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved’ (Romans 10:9)

Receiving God’s gift of eternal salvation takes a simple step of faith in believing that Jesus died for your sins and rose again on the third day.

Don’t wait any longer. The opportunity to secure your eternity with God may not pass this way again. Receive God’s gift today! If you wish to do so, please pray this following prayer.

“Dear God,

I repent and ask you to forgive me of my sins. Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross for me. I want to receive you into my life as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for giving me eternal life. Take control of my life and make me the person you want me to be. In Jesus name I pray. Amen”
