Community Outreach
Our mission is to pastor and impact the families living in Punggol through God’s overflowing love in action! We want to demonstrate the abundant love of Jesus, and to see precious lives impacted and transformed by His grace!
River of Life Community Church organises initiatives to love and serve the community around us in practical ways. Some of our past events and activities include Community Blessings during Chinese New Year, National Day Celebrations with Residents Network (RN), Christmas carolling partnering various Residents Network in Punggol and participations in Racial Harmony Day.
We partner with St Luke ElderCare Centre in Punggol to encourage the elderly with regular programs such as games, songs, videos, art and crafts. We also support Punggol Residents Network to reach out and befriend the needy at rental blocks at monthly breakfast project. We provide some financial support and counselling where needed.
Every act of kindness to these precious people, whether the elderly or the poor, is an act of our worship unto Jesus. We believe that God is glorified through the testimony of our good works. It is our privilege and honour to have been able to share God’s blessings with the community in Punggol.
Overseas Mission
ROLC punches beyond our weight when it comes to overseas Missions. Very soon after we were planted as a church, we began to connect with specific missionaries and support various mission fields. We actively send teams yearly to Myanmar and Indonesia and we support missionaries in Cambodia and Brazil.
These mission trips move our congregants out to exercise their spiritual giftings in ministry, prayer, preaching and teaching. They also allow us a different experience of serving poor communities through medical outreach. ROLC members have made repeated visits over the past years. We have more members who have gone for at least one mission trip, than those who have yet to go. Missions will remain a core ministry in ROLC as we seek to make disciples beyond the shores of Singapore.
