OUR SMALL BEGINNING
In 2001, John Lee started two cell groups in Hougang and Sengkang after the Council from Bethesda Frankel Estate Church expressed the desire to start a church in the new Housing Estate in Sengkang and Punggol.
By July 2002, there were about 35 adults and children. On 29th July 2002, the first Worship Service was held in the home of John & Kathleen Lee.
In October 2002, a terrace house was rented along Punggol Road to meet the growing needs of our ministry and River of Life Community Church was officially registered on 19th November 2002.
In June 2004, ROLC moved to a rented house at Ponggol Twenty-Fourth Avenue. Our attendance rose to a total of 100 adults and children.
In 2005, no.19, Ponggol Twenty-Fourth Avenue was purchased to be our Mission Home. Praise God, the full amount of $1.8 million was raised within 3 months. Truly, ROLC Church Mission Home is an awesome testimony of God’s faithfulness. On 1st May 2006, River of Life Church Mission Home was dedicated to the Lord.
