OUR VISION:
To be a Christ-centered and Spirit-filled Church advancing God's Kingdom in every generation.

OUR THEME FOR 2010:
Advancing God's Kingdom Together

18 July 2010 – Seven pictures of the Church as seen in Ephesians

Picture #2 – The Body of Christ
We relate to one another primarily through our human bodies. For God to relate to us, He must “became flesh and made his dwelling among us” (John 1:14). The truth that God entered into this planet earth through a human body is interestingly profound. Jesus had a physical birth, lived in his physical body like us, except without sin. He died and his body was buried in a tomb in Jerusalem. On the third day, Jesus was raised from the dead in bodily form and He is now seated at the right hand of God. For God to accomplish His plan, He needs a human ‘body’. Just as Jesus fulfilled God’s will in His ‘body’, God desires His church, which is the ‘Body of Christ’ to fulfil God’s will on earth. Jesus does not want our sacrifices and offerings, but He wants our bodies as living sacrifices unto Him (Rom 12:1, 2). As the ‘Head’ (Jesus) obediently fulfilled the Father’s will, we the ‘Body of Christ’ (the Church) ought to obediently fulfill our Father’s will on earth.
